Jovan head sculpt done!

Hey guys just wanted to say that the Jovan head sculpt is done for the most part. I painted him up and made him look all pretty and such. I still have to color the hat and I will do textures for the eyes later on, but for now I am going to focus on getting the body done. Here are some pics of the finished head and an early wip of the body. Note that I am still making the base meshes for the clothes, but once I get all of those modeled I will go ahead and sculpt them in Zbrush. Enjoy! :D

Jován Galván Zbrush sculpt update

Hey guys it's been a while since I updated the blog, but I am glad to say that after a week of feeling ill I am almost near completion with the Jovan head sculpt. After I am done with this I will give it some color and all of that good stuff, but until then here is a side and front view of the current sculpt. Enjoy!

Geo Richter character design

I just got an email from my concept artist today and she has sent me the final design for Geo along with early sketches of the rest of the band members.

I will get started on Geo as soon as I do the final touches on the Jovan head sculpt.

Jován Galván Zbrush sculpt!

Hey everyone it has been a while since I've posted. I just wanted to give you guys an update on the Jovan character that I have been working on. I am proud to say that this is my most realistic human sculpt to date and I'm glad that this project is helping me grow as an artist.

As far as the other character concepts go Geo should be done in the next coming days along with thumbnail sketches of all the other band members.

Just for fun I made a Fickles Lot Animated 3D logo that I will use for an animation later on.

More Character Designs

Hey everyone! It has been two days since our last update on the project so far and since I really want people to keep coming back to this page to check on the updates I decided that I would give you guys another update on all the Fickles Lot goodies. The Jovan Galvan concept is finished and I will hopefully start on the 3D rendition of this character soon and don't worrying I will post WIP renders of that ever so often as well. My concept artist has also started on getting some design work done on the Geo Richter character as well. So far things are shaping up pretty well and I hope all of you enjoy and support the Fickles Lot Animated team on their journey to making a great animated music video for Fickles Lot.

On a side note I would like to thank Esther Wu for all of her amazing concept work so far. Keep it up dude!

Welcome to the Fickles Lot Animated Blog!

Hey everyone and welcome to the official blog for Fickles Lot Animated. I would first like to introduce myself, my name is Bailey Wheatland and I am currently 16 and an aspiring 3D artist and jump at the chance to take on any project that challenges me. I constantly want to grow as an artist and keep improving daily and I always look for ways to perfect my craft.

Now that you have read a little blurb about me allow me to tell you what this blog is all about. First off, this blog is meant to track the progress of a music video project I will be working on and leading for a while. This project just so happens to be a music video for Fickles Lot, a new ground-breaking band that has much potential and once they hit their prime, should be a big name band sometime soon. Discussion of this project began when Joe Galvan and I were talking over Facebook just about each of our giftings and it eventually evolved into an animated Fickles Lot music video for the song S.P.S.U.F.F.T.L.C.I.H.W.A.P (which can be listened to here) which stands for something I cannot reveal publicly because I honestly forgot what it stood for. Earlier on in the reading I was talking about how I look for projects that help me to continually grow as an artist, well I believe with this project I can grow exponentially and that's why I decided to do the Fickles Lot music video and I also believe in this particular band and admire that they are following their dreams.

Now without any further ado I now present some of the media for this project. Note that there is not much to show just yet because I just started getting a small team together yesterday, so stay tuned for there is loads of more content to come.
